Here is a list of common questions that our clients ask us. If you need more information don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Can I use laminate timber flooring in my bathroom?

Laminate timber flooring is a great, low-maintenance alternative to traditional timber floors, with a variety of coatings available to increase durability. However, not all laminate timber flooring is appropriate for wet areas. Our range of vinyl flooring is 100 percent waterproof – making it the safer choice for bathrooms, kitchens and dining areas.

How do I fix my uneven timber floor?

Mick's Classic Carpet INC. offers a professional floor sanding and floor polishing service. We will prepare your floors by removing any nails or adhesives that could cause damage, then sand back your floors so all boards are at an even height, removing surface scratches and revealing the pristine timber below.

How much does floor sanding cost?

We’re pleased to offer a free measure and quote for our floor sanding service. Our team visits homes and businesses across Mick's Classic Carpet INC., the Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast to assess the work required and provide an accurate quote

If a floorboard is missing, do I need a new floor?

No. When floorboards are missing, split or damaged, our flooring repairs team can replace the missing floorboards or section of floor. We ensure replaced sections are completed to the same finish as the existing floors to maintain overall look and feel.

What is the best finish to use on my timber flooring?

Finishes are generally classified as gloss, matt or satin. The finish you choose should depend on the type of flooring – solid timber flooring is available in a range of timber types that react differently with different finishes. It also depends on how you would like your floors to look. Talk to us about our full range of floor coatings and finishes – including anti-slip, stain and scratch protection.

How do I keep my timber flooring clean?

At Mick's Classic Carpet INC., we stock a huge range of cleaning products for timber flooring, specially formulated to bring out the colours and textures of all timber floors – from bamboo flooring to vinyl and laminate timber flooring.
